Story
We are taking on the challenge of walking from London to Brighton in loving memory of Marie Beba, a deeply loved friend and family member who sadly passed away in July 2025.
Marie cared fiercely about the people around her. She was a constant source of support, kindness, and encouragement, and she spoke openly about the importance of mental wellbeing long before many of us felt able to. She believed that looking after our mental health — and each other — truly matters.
What makes this walk especially meaningful is that Marie completed this very journey herself several times. While many of us watched from the sidelines, cheering her on, she kept putting one foot in front of the other — determined, resilient, and quietly inspiring. Now, it’s our turn to walk in her footsteps.
We’re walking in her name and raising funds for Mind, a charity that provides life-changing support to people experiencing mental health challenges and campaigns tirelessly to improve mental health services for all.
Every mile we walk is a tribute to Marie’s strength, compassion, and unwavering commitment to helping others. By donating, you’re not just supporting a walk — you’re helping continue Marie’s legacy and ensuring that people who need support are never alone.
Together, we can honour Marie by doing what she believed in so strongly: breaking the stigma, supporting one another, and showing that mental health matters.
Thank you for helping us take these steps for Marie — and for Mind. 💙
