Story
1 in 4 of us have mental health problems, most of us don't get the help we need. As a result of this; we will both be running the Great North Run '23 to raise awareness & money for Mind, also in memory of our mum who we sadly lost in 2020. Emma will be completing a Hilly Marathon in May & Conwy Half Marathon later this year too. If we can reach our target (or more) and raise awareness for a charity that saves lives and has a supportive impact on people - it's a no brainer.
The mental health system in England and Wales just isn’t working right now. It’s overstretched, underfunded and people aren’t getting the support that they need. Mind is always pushing for a better system that works for everyone.
"£20 could run our online peer support community for an hour, helping people connect with others and feel less alone.
£40 could help our Infoline answer calls, providing someone with vital support and information about help available for them.
£50 could help us campaign for better mental health services from the Government, ensuring people get the support they need, as soon as they need it.
£100 could pay the cost of one of our Infoline or Legal Line advisors for a whole day. Thanks to your amazing support, we can maintain our advisors, ready to answer calls for support and help."
