Raising money for Scottish Emergency Rescue Association

Aberdeen Kiltwalk 2023 · 4 June 2023 ·

Our aim is to develop, enhance and promote the rescue capabilities of firefighters and emergency services personnel to ultimately reduce unintentional injuries and deaths that can result from fires, RTC's and other emergencies alongside an educational programme in fire and road safety.

Story

Mark joined the Scottish Emergency Rescue Assocation (SERA) team in 2021 and has made regular trips to Ukraine since to provide them with life-saving firefighting appliances, equipment and PPE. Mark decided to take part in the Aberdeen Kiltwalk this year to raise further funds for SERA, so that donations can continue to be made to their colleagues in Ukraine in their time of need.

Unfortunately Mark is no longer able to participate in the Aberdeen Kiltwalk on 4th June as the date coincides with him joining SERA on a further trip to Ukraine with a convoy of appliances and equipment. However, his friend and colleague, Gary Cairns, has very kindly offered to take his place on the day and continue to fundraise for this very worthwhile charity whilst taking on the challenging 18 MILE walk.

Any donations would be very gratefully received by Mark, Gary and the entire SERA team.
