We have committed to running the London Landmarks Half Marathon for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

In 2023 we were blessed with the arrival of our beautiful baby girl Maisie. We got to spend six weeks with her in the Neonatal unit in Birmingham as well as a brief period in the Children's Hospital.

Maisie was known amongst the nurses for her strength and feistiness which made us incredibly proud and gave us the motivation to just keep going (much like this run!). Maisie touched the hearts of all those who she met, and all those who she never had the chance to.

We had a journey of ups and downs, and will always treasure the time we had with Maisie. By challenging ourselves to complete this half marathon, we hope to honour her memory and to raise awareness for the charity that helped us.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.
