On the 27th September 2008 we lost an amazing lady, Eileen McCann, to the dreaded C word. A lady with the softest of hands to touch and the biggest heart. Who enjoyed nothing more than taking herself of on day trips, frequenting charity shops and always giving. A lady who has left an everlasting mark on all our hearts

This year on the 8th August she would have been 90. To mark this occasion and give back, the family of Eileen McCann are going to participate in the Marie Curie Twilight Walk , taking place on 11 September 2020.

Marie Curie provides expert clinical care for patients and much needed respite, comfort and reassurance for families, carers and loved ones, working day and night.

Legacy of Love

A wife, a mother, a grandma too, This is the legacy we have from you.

You taught us love and how to fight, You gave us strength, you gave us might.

A stronger person would be hard to find, And in your heart, you were always kind.

You fought for us all in one way or another, Not just as a wife not just as a mother.

For all of us you gave your best, Now the time has come for you to rest.

So go in peace, you’ve earned your sleep, Your love in our hearts, we’ll eternally keep.
