Story
On 6th April 2025, my sister and I will be taking part in the London Landmark’s Half Marathon to raise money for The Mental Health Foundation in memory of our cousin, George who we very sadly lost to suicide in February 2024. Suicide is the second leading cause of death in people aged 25-34, with 74% of those being men. By running the half marathon we hope to raise funds to help the charity provide support to anyone who is struggling with their own mental health and to the families who have lost a loved ones, as well as to raise awareness of the wonderful work that the charity do and the importance of prioritising mental wellbeing.
The Mental Health Foundation is the UK’s charity for everyone’s mental health.
With prevention at the heart of what they do, the Mental Health Foundation aim to find and address the sources of mental health problems so that people and communities can thrive.
