On the 7th of July 2024, myself and six of my colleagues from Mere Pharmacy will be taking part in the Walk for Wards at Wilton to raise money for The Stars Appeal.

We will be walking 10k.

The Stars Appeal is a local charity that raises money for Salisbury hospital.

The money raised from this walk will go towards the £1Million that The Stars Appeal is aiming to raise this year to fund various projects at the hospital which will help thousands of patients and the NHS staff who care for them.

Some examples of where the money raised will go are:

⭐ 6 high definition videoscopes, totalling £115,000, to diagnose head and neck cancer quicker

⭐ 36 sleeper chairs, costing £1,400 each, so vulnerable patients and those at the end of their lives can have a loved one stay by their side in comfort

⭐ Stars Appeal Wi-FI

⭐ Emergency packs for patients including clothing, toiletries, and TV card

⭐ Helping provide play therapy for children in hospital

These are only a few of the things that the money will go towards, there are many more.
