Mechanics for Africa is a technical college in the Zambian city of Ndola.
We train young people in automotive engineering and clerical operations, equipping them with essential life skills and discipleship. Our students come from some of Zambia’s poorest communities. Our goal – to give them a step up in life and a hope for a brighter future.
Our students graduate from Mechanics for Africa with skills for life, equipped to lift themselves and their families out of poverty, as well as positively contributing to their communities. An education at MfA transforms lives.
Many students come from homes marked by poverty, bereavement, or instability. Life's hardships often threaten to derail their education. That is why the MfA Hardship Fund exists: to ensure no student loses their place because of circumstance. Time and time again, it has allowed us to step in with compassion, offering financial support in exchange for enrolment on our work programme. But our Hardship Fund is running low.
Our goal is to raise £10,000 which will be doubled to £20,000 for the Hardship fund - a lifeline that ensures no student is left behind when hardship strikes.
