Just after Christmas 2024 we lost a very special member of Barking Road Runners - Micky Ball.

Everyone has their special memories of Micky. However, it was as a runner that Micky was valued by everyone. He was a role model and an inspiration at every level, turning up loyally and regularly to all events, putting the young 'uns to shame with his never-ending commitment.

Micky wouldn't have wanted a lot of fuss for himself. So, rather than flowers, we are asking for donations for charities that were dear to his heart; the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) and British Heart Foundation (BHF). You can donate to just one of the charities, or to both.
