Team Ministry of Fish - Fundraising for Wellbeing of Women

Raising money for Wellbeing of Women

Wellbeing of Women is the women’s health charity saving and changing the lives of women, girls and babies through research, education and advocacy. We do this by investing in world class research, championing education, raising awareness and tackling the taboos that exist in women’s health.

Story

At Ministry of Fish, we’re excited to lace up our running shoes for a cause that truly matters to us. Three of our wonderful colleagues, Matt, Lizzie and Emily, are taking part in Winchester’s half marathon, supporting Wellbeing of Women.

We believe that it is time to shine a light on the health challenges that women face every day, so we want to show our support by aiming to raise £500, which Ministry of Fish will match!

We all know women in our lives who are affected by these issues including mothers, sisters, friends and colleagues. By supporting this cause with us, you’re helping to ensure that women have access to the care and support that they deserve.

A few words from our colleagues:

“I care about people, and that’s enough for me. There are so many women in my life that I care about, and I’m aware of how often women’s health and the things they have to go through individually gets ignored.” – Matt, Digital Lead

“My motivation to run the (VERY hilly) Winchester half marathon is our chosen charity…Wellbeing of Women. A fantastic organisation that has been championing research and care in women’s health for the last 60 years. As a woman, who has many fantastic women in her life, I believe providing a better future for the health and wellbeing of women, girls and babies is paramount to a successful society.” – Lizzie, Account Lead

“I am very excited (and slightly terrified) of taking part in the Winchester half marathon! The charity, Wellbeing of Women, serves as a powerful inspiration for taking on this challenge. I am a strong advocate for breaking the stigma surrounding women's health and raising awareness.” – Emily, Account Executive
