Please consider whether you can support Alison, Samuel, Hannah, Nicki, Ben, Josh, Anne-Marie, Pam, Gill, Dave, Francis, John R, John S, Chloe, Penny and Anna in their overseas mission work.

We will be spending a week (from 9th-16th August 2025) volunteering in north-west Romania where we will help with projects run by The Smiles Foundation. This includes:

- visiting the elderly

- delivering food and clothing packages

- working with impoverished communities and families

- supporting their outreach work

- helping with holiday Bible clubs

- assisting with any practical work needed

The Smiles Foundation aims to help people know that they are loved and not forgotten - whatever their circumstances. Volunteers assist in this by helping share what God has blessed us with with those less fortunate than ourselves. It doesn't take much: a simple smile, a hug, time spent together, can show someone they are loved and valued.

We already have links with The Smiles Foundation through Anna, who has a long-established connection with the charity, through Chloe and John, who have volunteered with Smiles in the past, and through St John's Church, which supports the charity's outreach work through financial giving.

Those who have been have seen the impact of Smiles' work first-hand and can vouch for the credibility of the organisation as well as testify to the value of undertaking mission work with Smiles.

If you do feel able to donate then your donation will be very much appreciated and you can be confident your money is going towards an extremely worthwhile cause. If you are not in a position to support financially, we would still value prayerful support so do be praying for the group as we prepare to serve in this way.
