We are running the London Landmarks Half Marathon 2027 in support of Prostate Cancer UK.

Prostate cancer UK is a charity close to our hearts and has affected our family in many ways.

After losing one of his brothers to prostate cancer( 2 years from diagnosis to passing away), one of James’ uncles decided to have a blood test and biopsy which sadly confirmed 25% stage 4 prostate cancer. After 2 years of treatment and hormone therapy, we are lucky to still have Uncle Brandon fighting strong today.

After this, James’ dad Steve decided he should also get regular testing. In late 2025, Steve was also diagnosed with Stage 2 prostate cancer. Thankfully for Steve, it was caught early and radiotherapy was the best treatment. We are so grateful for this treatment which has helped Steve, this has allowed him to enjoy his first year of being Elsie’s Grandad.

Both Brandon, Steve and our family, wish testing was more readily available to men as for many there is no signs or symptoms. It’s through fundraising for this amazing charity we can raise awareness and money to help more men like our family have been.

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in the UK.

1 in 8 men will get prostate cancer; the risk is even higher if you’re over 50, Black, or have family history of the disease. Prostate Cancer UK are funding revolutionary research, driving awareness campaigns, and improving care and support services for men across the UK.
