Story

We're a group of mums and dads, friends since our school days in the early 1990s. Nearly 30 years on, after building our careers and families, we're reuniting for a cause close to our hearts.

We're taking on The Speed Project, a 540km ultra-distance relay from Los Angeles to Las Vegas, to raise awareness about the alarming spread of dengue and the crucial work of the World Mosquito Program.

Our journey, up to and including the event itself, symbolises the urgency in combating the world's fastest-growing mosquito-borne disease, an issue that impacts not just communities globally but also poses a significant risk to future generations. Through our participation in this amazing challenge, we hope to amplify the World Mosquito Program's message that something needs to be done if we're to put a stop to dengue. And WMP's Wolbachia method is one of those ways.

So this event is our way of contributing to the greater good, a chance to make a difference and safeguard the world for the next generation.
