Hi, we’re Mabinty and Tolu, and for Red Nose Day 2026 we’re taking ourselves funny for money by stepping well outside our comfort zones.

One of us will be getting louder and louder.

The other… will not. 😬

I, Tolu, will be taking on a series of TikTok dance challenges. And if you know me, you’ll know… this is very much not my thing. I usually leave that to Mabinty. 🫣

Meanwhile I, Mabinty, will be doing something surprisingly difficult for someone who loves both TikTok and talking… a sponsored silence.

Here’s the deal. The more we raise, the more uncomfortable it gets.

Tolu posts his first full TikTok dance. No half-hearted energy.

I complete 4 hours of total silence. Notes and gestures only.

Tolu adds a costume chosen by our children (we had to involve them somehow 😂).

I extend to 6 hours of silence, including navigating the outside world without my voice.

Tolu performs in a public location. One take.

I commit to 8 hours of silence, including a full day at work.

Tolu performs a duet with me.

I take on a full 24-hour silence.

Why? Because Comic Relief exists to tackle poverty and injustice. If a bit of awkwardness and chaos helps raise money for that mission, we’re all in.

He’ll be dancing through the discomfort.
