Story

Rich, Ant and Scott met at high school in Terrington St Clement near King's Lynn. They became forged as best buddies through their love of music and their band, playing gigs in pubs and bars across the country. But while they still enjoy making tunes when time permits, this year a special cause will bring them together for a two day, 40-mile hike in memory of Rich's nan, Ann Cox, who passed away in early 2021. Ann raised thousands of pounds for those in need, and Richard would like to continue this legacy with the support of his closest pals. For more, please read on.

Ann Cox passed away peacefully on 2nd January 2021 at the age of 83. She was a fundraising force of nature and Bingo queen. 'Nanny Ann' to the family, Ann raised thousands of pounds for a number of charities, but took particular pride in her support for the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King's Lynn.

For many years, Ann organised local bingo nights with the help of her enormous group of friends and supportive husband, Ron. Despite having to find the strength more than once to overcome serious illness herself, Ann never put her charitable efforts to one side. Year on year, she took pride in putting others first and was especially dedicated to providing toys and games for poorly children in need of hospital care at Christmas.

To make her proud, Richard has chosen to complete a sponsored walk with his two closest friends. The three amigos will be setting off for their challenging hike over the weekend of 10-11 July 2021. If you are able, please offer your support with a donation. Every pound helps.
