Story
In 2020, the NatWest South Yorkshire Team chose to support Anthony Nolan, a fantastic Charity that works to save the lives of those with Blood Cancer.
Anthony Nolan is a fantastic Charity who save the lives of over 1300 individuals a life by matching them to a relevant donor.
The work that they do does not stop here, with research into ways to further improve treatments as well as important work to raise awareness of the issues faced in finding a donor.
We chose to work with this Charity because this has had a direct impact on one of our Customers, Mark Ritson of Inspec Solutions, whos life was saved by Anthony Nolan in 2013. Without their support Mark would not have survived to see the birth of his first child, and would not have gone on to have a second child.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, many events and opportunities to fund raise were canceled. This has had a huge impact on the Charity sector as a whole, and specifically resulted in Team South Yorkshire being unable to complete in various events.
In 2021, with a vaccine role out underway, we are hopeful that we can complete our events, and have even signed up to complete Virtual Challenges along the way.
