Raising money for Give Back

Northern Ireland has the highest suicide rate in the UK. Suicide rates here have risen by 30% in the last four years. Mental health services are at full capacity. GivBak recognised the pressures the healthcare system was facing and designed the SEP programme to support individuals while waiting for medical appointments. NI residents can be waiting over six months for appointments, and this can often lead them to feel trapped and in a cycle that feels there is little hope or options available. The SEP programme focuses on mindfulness and overcoming personal barriers and fears. The aim is to build confidence, raise self-esteem and help individuals to set goals for the future.

Story

We are the Happy Trekkers walking every year to complete a different peak through out UK & Ireland. We are doing this in memory of our precious Nicole that we lost to mental health in 2019. We are raising funds for a charity called GivBak. Last year we raised a whooping £800 pounds and all donations have supported the charity in providing the Taking in Mind Programme to individuals that have barriers and are struggling to set goals for the future. This year the charity aims to provide the Taking In Mind programme into secondary education schools where it is very much needed. All staff work on a voluntary basis and GivBak solely depends on donations and funds raised from the sponsored walks. 100% monies donated goes directly to the charity and the initiatives it supports. Your donations are very much appreciated and needed. Thank you for taking the time to read and support our cause. God Bless
