'No Limits' fundraising for Sight Scotland

Raising money for Sight Scotland

Edinburgh Marathon 2026 · 24 May 2026 ·

Sight Scotland has supported and campaigned for people affected by visual impairment for over two centuries, but we know we can do more. Our vision is an inclusive Scotland where everyone, regardless of their sight, has the opportunity to thrive. But we can only achieve this with your help.

Story

Living with sight loss can leave people feeling vulnerable, isolated and living in fear. Every hour in the world someone starts to lose their sight. It is scary, it is lonely and it changes lives.

Sight Scotland’s experience in sight loss means they are here for people and their families. From the moment there is a diagnosis, to as long as support is needed, they use their knowledge and experience to give hope, guidance and the courage to live life to the full.

For us, this mission is deeply personal. Javi has retinitis pigmentosa and only 5% vision. Running has always been his passion, and when it became harder to train alone, we started running together as runner and guide. With trust, patience and teamwork, we discovered that with the right support, anything is possible.

We have completed marathons and challenging races side by side, proving that visual impairment shouldn’t limit inclusion, ambition or achievement. By fundraising for Sight Scotland, we want to help more people living with sight loss feel supported, empowered and able to keep doing what they love.

Thank you for supporting our journey and this incredible cause.
