We’re a group of five friends taking on a huge challenge to raise money for a charity supporting people affected by cancer.

Like so many people, we have all know someone whose life has been touched by cancer. It’s a cause that means a great deal to us, and we wanted to push ourselves to do something challenging while raising as much money as we can for a fantastic charity.

So, five middle aged men (who may be questioning this decision already) will be setting off to walk 100km through the countryside and into the night, aiming to complete the challenge within 25hrs and finish in Purleigh.

We know it is going to be tough. We’ve been training hard, putting in the miles and preparing ourselves for what will undoubtedly be a long, tiring and painful 25hrs!

The Helen Rollason Cancer Charity supports adults living with cancer across Essex at any point of their journey, this can be at diagnosis, throughout treatment and after treatment is completed. As well as caring for those facing the diagnosis we also support their loved ones. It provides a range of complementary therapies, counselling, support groups and so much more. Our aim is to provide a safe space where you can be yourself, relax and hold a positive sense of wellbeing.
