Story
To celebrate the end of Covid restrictions, our recovery and the ongoing fight against blood cancers the North Yorkshire Haematology Support Group are having gentle, sponsored, social cycle ride on Saturday 11th September. We will meet at 10am outside the Sir Robert Ogden Macmillan Centre at Northallerton's Friarage Hospital and try to cycle as far as Roots Farmshop near East Rounton for lunch (around 22 miles there and back).
The lead charity to benefit from this event is Myeloma UK which has helped so many of us through our cancer journeys. The money will be used by them to continue providing support and information to myeloma sufferers and their families and to fund research into this incurable form of blood cancer.
Not all members of the North Yorkshire Haematology Support Group will be riding under the banner of Myeloma UK, they will have their own preferred charities so please visit their pages too.
If you are affected by Myeloma or any other form of blood cancer such as lymphoma or leukaemia and you live in the North Yorkshire and Teesside areas, please come along to one of our support group meetings. Details can be found on our website www.nyblood.weebly.com
