We are giving up the comfort of our beds, Sleeping Out on Friday 9 October and waking up on World Homeless Day to raise money for Glass Door Homeless Charity.

Glass Door welcomes everyone as their guest, giving them some stability before helping them move off the streets for good. Their doors are open to everyone, no matter who they are or where they are from.

In winter, they run the country's largest network of emergency night shelters, providing a hot meal and a safe place to sleep for around 105 people who might otherwise sleep on the streets, and year-round, they offer expert advice and support to help people find a route out of homelessness.

In the year ending 31 May 2026:

They supported 2,382 guests across their Emergency Winter Shelter and Year-round Casework Service and, overall, 467 guests found a place to call home by engaging with their caseworkers.

- 978 of those individuals were sleeping on the streets when turning to Glass Door

- 836 were refugees and asylum seekers, often escaping war, persecution and exploitation

- 491 guests found emergency winter shelter in the coldest nights of the year and 156 of those who stayed in the shelter were supported to find housing.
