Story
We are a team of 20 slightly over-enthusiastic humans taking on a cross-channel swim in a lido — because nothing says “great idea” like open-air water, April temperature and and collective optimism.
We’re doing it to raise money for Oceans of Hope, an extraordinary charity that supports people living with multiple sclerosis through sailing and ocean adventures. They bring people together as crew members on real sea voyages — building confidence, resilience, community, and a powerful reminder of what their bodies can do.
It’s about possibility.
It’s about courage.
It’s about refusing to be defined by a diagnosis.
Meanwhile, we will be:
• Negotiating with cold water
• Keeping going even when we want to stop
• Relying heavily on team spirit
Did I mention we are doing this in FOUR HOURS?!
If you can donate — whether it’s the cost of a coffee or something more — it genuinely makes a difference. You’ll be supporting life-changing experiences for people with MS, and helping motivate us not to cling dramatically to the side halfway through!
Thank you for backing our slightly soggy team. 🌊
