Story

We are a collective of friends who met through our love of sea swimming. We have been sea swimming all year round for many years and greatly appreciate the many physical and mental health benefits of the water.

We decided a few years ago to set ourselves the challenge of swimming the English Channel - 21 miles from Dover to Calais. We have spent the last few years increasing our distances and tolerance to the cold water and many months specifically training for the event. During the winter we have been training on land, however taking every opportunity to get into the sea on calmer days. We are delighted that the pools are reopening soon so that we can get our longer swims in whilst the sea is warming up.

We are self-funding the swim but would like to take the opportunity to raise some money for AMAZE, a cause that is very close to our hearts as we all work with young people with additional needs. AMAZE do incredible work supporting children, young people and their families. For more information about the charity please visit their website: amazesussex.org.uk

Many thanks for your support, any contribution however small will be greatly appreciated.

If you would like to follow our swim on the day we will post the details of how you can do this nearer the time.
