Story
This weekend I will be taking on the MDS Crazy Loops Challenge in the Alps! Raising money for The Barney Webber Foundation and Sands Charity. This is just the beginning, with the iconic Marathon des Sables in Jordan coming up this November, a 120km multi-stage ultra marathon across the desert.
On Saturday I will be heading into the mountains of Courchevel to take part in something truly extraordinary, the MDS Crazy Loops. I will be part of a 24-hour mountain race, aiming to complete as many loops as possible, day and night, surrounded by alpine beauty, camaraderie, and courage.
I have chosen to take on these challenges and more for two incredibly meaningful charities, both of which are close to my heart with personal reasons for choosing both:
💙 The Barney Webber Foundation
Dedicated to promoting inclusion through sport and adventure, this foundation inspires young people to overcome adversity and embrace the outdoors, no matter their background or abilities.
💛 Sands Charity
Sands supports families who have experienced the unimaginable loss of a baby, providing bereavement support and campaigning to improve maternity safety and reduce baby loss in the UK.
What is MDS Crazy Loops?
It’s not just a race, it’s a human adventure of endurance, solidarity and spirit.
• 5 km loops, repeated freely over 24 hours
• Walk or run at your own pace, solo or as a team
• Sleep in tents at a mountain bivouac, cook your own food and reconnect with what really matters
There are no fixed rules or roles, everyone is a Helping Runner. Whether it’s pulling a teammate’s wheelchair up a steep incline, offering a hand on a downhill, or simply sharing encouragement, this event is all about showing up for each other.
I will be sleeping under the stars, moving through altitude and exhaustion and pushing my limits in every possible way all to raise awareness and funds for two causes close to our hearts.
Be Part of the Tribe. Donate Today.
Whether it's £5 or £50, every donation makes a real difference. By supporting me, you're:
• Helping bereaved families find support and solace
• Creating inclusive opportunities for young people to thrive through sport
• Cheering on every loop, every step, every act of courage
Thank you.
