Story
This September, my sister and I will be taking on the Edinburgh Kiltwalk Mighty Stride in support of the Lauren Currie Twilight Foundation.
We are fundraising for this incredible charity because the cause is very close to our hearts. The Lauren Currie Twilight Foundation supports people and families affected by vasculitis, helping to raise awareness, fund research, and provide much-needed support to those navigating this often life changing condition.
In 2023, our dad was diagnosed with Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis (GPA), a type of Vasculitis. Before then it was something we knew very little about. Since his diagnosis we’ve seen first hand the impact it can have, not only on the person living with it, but on the people around them too. It’s made us realise how important support, awareness, and research really are for families going through something like this.
That’s why we’ve decided to take on the Edinburgh Kiltwalk Mighty Stride this September. Every mile we walk will be for our dad, for everyone living with vasculitis, and for the families standing beside them.
Any donation, big or small, would mean a lot to us and will go towards supporting the Lauren Currie Twilight Foundation and the work they do. And if you can’t donate, sharing our page would be hugely appreciated too.
Thank you so much for supporting us, it doesn’t go unnoticed 🫶🏼🫶🏼
