Story
Gareth, Rob, Paul and Kevin are four “over-50 but still swinging” part-time padel players who’ve decided it’s a good idea (don’t ask why) to take on Race the Sun Jurassic Coast Off-Road in aid of children’s charity Action Medical Research.
In June, instead of enjoying a leisurely doubles match and a post-game coffee, we’ll be dragging ourselves out of bed at sunrise to bike, hike, and paddle our way around a very challenging course – all while racing against the sun (and probably our own knees).
We’re doing this for Action Medical Research, who have spent over 70 years funding vital research to help defeat the diseases that devastate the lives of sick and disabled babies, children, and young people.
By supporting our team, you’ll be helping to fund research that reduces premature birth, supports children living with lifelong challenges, and develops cutting-edge therapies for rare and incurable diseases.
Please donate generously – if not for the kids (though definitely for the kids), then at least to witness four middle-aged padel enthusiasts trying to survive a race that sounds suspiciously like an endurance event we shouldn’t have signed up for.
Thank you so much for your support – and wish our joints luck!
