Story

4 normal guys ventured out on 15th July 2022 at 05:45 to play some golf , not any old golf. But 4 rounds ( 72 holes) for a great charity. At the 2nd hole we were joined by a deer and the sprinkler went off, it was an interesting first round. We managed to complete this with 5 minutes before our 2nd tee off time, a quick toilet break topped up the water bottles and were off. One of our members WJS he will be know as not to give him away suffered a serious broken leg playing football few years ago and needed a buggy. Oh yes no time for the bacon and eggs sarnies we were all looking forward too.

Round 2 was under way , nothing much happened that was of great excitement , few birdies, few long putts, few duff shots, some rain and more rain, and MDS decided to roll the clubs and trolley into a bunker.

There was a seniors match on and we got held up a bit and running late we phoned the bar on the 15th and ordered lunch, just made it back when they brought it out, only to be told that tee off times had changed slightly due to us running late. Chef brought out the tin foil and we wrapped the bait up downed the pint in record time and off we went 3rd round under way.. WJS goes for the buggy, oh no your not son, its booked for the society following you. Anyway to cut a long story short. played two round walking , some fantastic golf with the odd errors end up at the 19th or 73rd whatever , few pints , few bits of the mossies. Off the the three mile it was few more pints. 72 holes done 23 miles walked and had a great time. hope to raise over £1000 between us and had a great time

Prostate Cancer is now the most commonly diagnosed cancer in the UK, killing one man every 45 minutes in the UK. Thats the same time it takes to play three holes of golf.

That's why I'm golfing the distance and taking on The Big Golf Race, to keep men in the game for longer.

The money raised by this challenge will help fund research into life-saving treatments for prostate cancer and provide practical support to men and their families.
