When our baby was born, our world changed in an instant. He was diagnosed with congenital heart disease and, just days old, had to undergo two major open heart surgeries to save his life. It was the most frightening time we have ever experienced as a family, but those surgeries gave our little boy the chance to live, grow, and thrive.

During this journey, we were placed in the care of incredible doctors, surgeons, nurses, and staff who supported not only our baby, but us as parents too. Their kindness, skill, and dedication carried us through some of our darkest moments and gave us hope when we needed it most.

We will forever be grateful for the care he received, and we now want to give something back.

That is why we are taking part in this walking marathon for Evelina London Children’s Charity. We want to help support other children and families who find themselves on similar journeys, so they too can benefit from the life-saving treatment, compassion, and support that made all the difference to us.

Every step we take is for our son, for the amazing team who cared for him, and for every child still fighting their own battle. We are walking with gratitude, hope, and love — and we would be so thankful for your support.
