Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On Sunday 12th April 2026, my wife and I will be taking on the London Landmarks Half Marathon — what will hopefully be a stunning route through one of the greatest cities in the world. But for both of us, this run is about so much more than the challenge or the medal at the end.
Since becoming Chief Executive of The Road Victims Trust in January 2024, I have seen firsthand the life-changing support our team provides to people affected by fatal and life-changing road collisions. Every day, countless lives are devastated in an instant — families grieving unimaginable loss, and survivors facing trauma and an uncertain future.
In my former career as a roads policing officer, I worked through a time where no such specialist support existed. I know the difference it would have made. Today, RVT ensures no one has to face that devastation alone. Our counselling volunteers and coordinators are available to people from a very early stage post collision — offering practical guidance, emotional support and most importantly, hope.
That is why we are running.
We are running in memory of those who have tragically lost their lives on the UK’s roads.
We are running for those rebuilding their lives after trauma.
We are running to make sure RVT can continue to be there, every step of the way.
If you are able to support us — whether with a donation or by simply sharing this page — it will make a huge difference to the futures of those who need us most.
Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity.
Together, we can help provide hope after the darkest of days.
