Beards for Bucks-Razorless for a Reason · 16 August 2021 to 31 October 2021 ·

Join Law Enforcement Agencies as they support our Child Advocacy Center (CAC). Beards for Bucks is a fun and exciting fundraiser where law enforcement officers are allowed to grow facial hair for the month of October.

Story

Please join us in supporting the Merrimack County Advocacy Center through this year’s Beards for Bucks fundraiser. Without the MCAC, we could never investigate many of the most severe crimes reported to us each year. MCAC provides a safe and supportive environment for child and adult victims to share their stories. The MCAC utilizes a team approach to interviewing by including prosecution, advocates, child protective service workers, law enforcement, and other community partners. The team approach ensures that essential questions are asked the first time so victims don’t have to recount traumatic events repeatedly. Often, victims are uncomfortable speaking to uniformed police officers in a busy police department. MCAC offers victims a place to gather and share their thoughts and be heard in a neutral, professional setting, one on one with a trained forensic interviewer. MCAC interviews have been the first step in countless cases where we successfully prosecuted some of our worst offenders.
