We help adults with mental health problems to get into paid employment or training.

Story

Thank you for donating to Phoenix Enterprises!!

Your donation will help Phoenix to provide an essential and vital safety net for adults with learning difficulties and mental health problems across Swindon - these are our service users. Together we do packaging and hand assembly jobs for other businesses. Our small dedicated team of staff and volunteers ensure that every individual is given the opportunity to realise their full potential, which for many means finding paid employment, coming off benefits for the first time, living independently and making their way in the world. We focus on what each individual service user CAN DO - not what their condition or disability means they can't do.

16 of us are climbing Snowdon. At 1085m above sea level it's the highest mountain in England and Wales. From Llanberis we'll walk the 9 mile spectacularly rugged and breathlessly beautiful Snowdon Horseshoe, taking in the summit of Snowdon, and returning to the YHA (staying in the hostel may be the toughest challenge for some of the team!) . It will be a hard strenuous walk, taking between 6 and 8 hours for most people. To take on this challenging walk it’s important that team members are prepared physically. The route is very steep in several places. Good luck to all participants!
