pHp Architects are taking on Race the Sun in the Lake District for children’s charity Action Medical Research.

This September, Jonathan, Rob, Oli and Chris will be setting off at sunrise to cycle, hike and paddle their way around a brutally challenging course — all in a race against the sun. Because apparently a normal midlife crisis was too predictable!

Over the course of one very long day, they’ll battle steep climbs, tired legs, questionable navigation skills, and the growing realisation that “this sounded like a good idea in the office” may have been wildly optimistic.

But behind the inevitable suffering, blisters and complaints about whose idea this was, there’s a serious reason for taking part.

We’re raising money for Action Medical Research, a children’s charity that has spent more than 70 years funding vital research to help fight the diseases that devastate the lives of sick and disabled babies, children and young people.

By supporting our team, you’ll be helping fund research to reduce premature birth, support children living with disabilities, and develop life-changing treatments for rare and incurable diseases.

So while four grown men attempt to outrun daylight armed with bicycles, kayaks and fading confidence, your donation will help support genuinely important work that changes young lives.
