Pulford Publicity to tackle Connecting the Hospices Hike
Did you know that Julia’s House operates two children’s hospices, one in Corfe Mullen and the other in Wiltshire? The distance between the two is around 60 miles.
To raise funds for this vital charity, which delivers care to Dorset children with a life-limiting or life-threatening condition, a team from Pulford Publicity plan to walk that same distance this summer.
Julia’s House is Pulford Publicity’s charity of the year. It provides a lifeline of care to seriously ill local children and their families. Fundraising is vital to Julia’s House – 92 per cent of its funding comes from the local community.
To support our chosen charity, the six members of the team will divide up the distance between the two hospices and walk 10 miles each in one day.
The Connecting the Hospices Hike is scheduled for Friday 21 August. The team are planning to tackle an iconic route through Dorset, either hiking along the Jurassic Coast past Old Harry Rocks and Swanage, or from Hengistbury Head all the way to Sandbanks.
To take on this mighty hike and support Julia’s House in delivering care to Dorset children with a life-limiting or life-threatening condition, we need your help to hit out fundraising target of £1,500.
