This Saturday 5th July saw 12 corporate teams competing for dragon boat victory on the River Trent in Nottingham. We managed to field a full team of 16 paddlers and a drummer, despite a last minute change due to illness. It was a windy but fine day. In the initial Heat Races we were beaten by NRA Roofers who were the event winners in 2023 and 2024. Undeterred we took advice and re-balanced the boat and re-adjusted our calls from "1..2" to "Down..Up" to help with synchronisation and we won our Bronze Minor Final! To have a close race with the other boats really felt good and lifted the Team's morale. The NRA Roofers team went on to the Gold final and were just pipped to the Overall Title by the Banana's (team Stroke). We have an agreement that Ramtech will match whatever we raise on the JustGiving page.
