Story
After the tremendous success of last year’s event, the Rotherham School Games is excited to host another Colour Run at Rawmarsh Community School on Friday 16th May! This vibrant event aims to bring fun and community spirit while raising vital funds for Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice. Last year, we proudly raised £7,500, and this year we’re determined to surpass that milestone with 1,000 runners already signed up from 30 primary and secondary schools across Rotherham. We would like to raise as much money as possible from our school so please give what you can to sponsor your child in this event. Cash donations and sponsor forms can be handed in on the day instead if preferred.
At Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, we care for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions. We support hundreds of families, both in our hospice and in family homes.
Our support services are wide ranging and bespoke to each family; including overnight care, music therapy, counselling, sibling support groups, home visits and much more.
It costs around £6.5m to keep our doors open for families across South Yorkshire and beyond. Statutory funding makes up 16% of this amount and the rest is raised through fundraising.
