My Marathon My Way 2024 · 1 April 2024 to 30 April 2024 ·

In the month of April, we challenge you to run a total of 26.2 miles, but with a twist you get to choose your own pace and schedule.

Story

We are taking on 26.2 miles this April by taking part in My Marathon My Way for Sands to help save babies' lives.

We sadly lost our first born Roséo when I went into labour at 24 weeks and 3 days. Although Roséo was severely premature and had suffered Fetal growth restriction (FGR) he weighed just 280g he was a fighter and survived 4 precious hours on Earth surrounded by his loving family 🥰🌹💚.

What was suppose to be the happiest time of our lives becoming first time parents has now become the saddest. We have been robbed of innocence and joy of a growing family and there will always be a piece of us missing, our baby boy Roséo.

Baby/child loss seems to be a taboo topic and you only become aware how common it is when you have go through it whether that’s miscarriage, stillborn, neonatal loss and other infertility issues. What is even more heartbreaking is that Black and Asian women are 4 times more likely to suffer mortality during childbirth.

Your sponsorship will support research into saving lives and ensure bereaved families get the care and support they deserve. Thank you so much.
