Story
Hello everyone,
We’re taking part in the Maggie's Aberdeen Culture Crawl this year to raise money for a cancer charity that recently has become very close to our hearts.
Following Rebeccas Dads terminal cancer diagnosis in December 2024 we have experienced first hand the support and advice Maggie’s can offer to those with cancer and their families and friends. The diagnosis came out of the blue with the only symptoms initially being fatigue. By the time it was discovered it had already spread from the stomach to his liver and lungs.
Life can change in a second and it shows how important places like Maggie’s are when you are in need of support.
For many people living in the North East, Maggie's Aberdeen is a beacon of hope. The centre offers a unique programme of practical and psychological support, available free of charge to people with cancer and everyone they love. Maggie’s centres are places where people with cancer find the hope, determination, and resources they need to cope with one of the toughest challenges any of us is likely to have to face.
Any donations are greatly appreciated and are going towards a great cause 🧡
