Story

Thanks for taking the time to donate to this fantastic cause. A group of brave young swimmers from Newry Swimming & Waterpolo Club and Infinity Swim Academy will be attempting to become THE YOUNGEST EVER relay team to swim the North Channel (one of the most difficult sea swims in the world)!

The swim is 21.5 miles starting at Donaghadee in Belfast Lough and finishing in Portpatrick, Scotland - Luckily the water is too cold for sharks but there are plenty of Lions Mane Jellyfish for our swimmers to contend with!

This is a physically and mentally demanding swim for this young team, peppered with unusual swimming conditions, changeable weather, jellyfish and a low temperature.

This huge challenge and endeavour will be the culmination of many months cold water training. The relay team will be supported by a fully resourced support squad.

Infinity Swim Academy are kindly waiving the £4000 required for the cost of the support boat, in the hope that the money raised by those supporting the team will go to charity - so please give whatever you can for these worthy causes and all the hard work from this young band of swimmers will not be in vain.

Once you donate, Justgiving will send your money directly to charity, each charity has been selected by the team members as important causes to them - Thank-you and see you in the water soon!!

Thanks from the RED HOT CHILLI DIPPERS - We'll send you a postcard from Scotland!!!!
