Raising money for National Autistic Society and Herts Vision Loss

Story

Sadly, on the 12th January 2021, our Mum passed away due to Covid-19. This page is dedicated to raising money in her name.

Mum received such wonderful and continuous support from Herts Vision Loss both practically and emotionally, which significantly enhanced her quality of life and helped her maintain her independence. Herts vision Loss work to promote independence for the visually impaired in a number of ways including social and support groups to reduce loneliness, providing information and advice, assisting with gadgets and equipment which promote independent living and home visits to reduce social isolation.

She also felt very strongly about the incredible support, guidance and advice that the National Autistic Society offer and regularly spoke and tried to raise awareness about Autism during her life. The National Autistic Society currently support 700,000 people in the UK and their families. They provide support in running specialist schools, helping individuals with diagnosing autism, campaigning for improved rights, training companies on how to be more autism-friendly. Their mission is to transform the lives of those with autism and change attitudes.

We kindly request donations to be evenly distributed.

We thank you for donating and for all the kind words of support and condolence we have received.
