Raising money for Cavendish Cancer Care

Cavendish Cancer Care is a charity dedicated to improving the quality of life for people living with cancer. No one should face cancer alone, so we provide emotional support through counselling and complementary therapies. Our services are provided free of charge and are funded through donations.

Story

Claire Cooper, Jo House, Mark Hinchliffe, David Knights, John Pickering, Steven Crane and Liz Millward have all come together to raise money for Challenge 7 in aid of Cavendish Cancer Care.

During 7th March to the 7th April, we will be running, cycling and walking 2000 km between the 7 of us. This is just over the distance of Lands End to John O'Groats and back to Lands End (as the crow flies).

Cavendish Cancer Care receive very little funding and therefore relies on donations and fundraising to offer their care on a free of charge basis, so every penny counts so please dig deep. Any money raised will make a difference to someone living with cancer by covering the costs of providing time and space to comes to terms with the effect cancer is having on them or their loved ones. Whether this be by proving therapy sessions to a cancer patient to ease the pain of cancer treatment. Specialist support to a child who doesn't know how to express their emotions or an unemotional ear for someone caring with cancer to express their fears without upsetting anyone.

We hope that you can support us in some small way in our challenge. Thank you.
