Story

Riding Against Cancer (RAC) are a small group of cyclists who are raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support through a series of events and challenges.

RAC V3 will see the group raising the bar again to carry out a whole 12 months of events and challenges with the aim of raising £20,000 for Macmillan.

The challenges we have completed thus far include:

Dirty Reiver (April) - an organised gravel event. Matt completed the big 200km course, whilst Russell tackled the 65km course.

The Longest Weekend (June) - Matt and Russell rode the 380km Rebellion Way circular route in Norfolk, in 2 days.

UK Coast to Coast (July) - Ian, Matt and Russell rode 722km, in 5 days from St David's (Pembrokeshire) to the Norfolk Coast.

Brewery friends social ride (August) - Matt & Russell, with friend of RAC Andrew, rode from Waterbeach, Cambs (Pastore Taproom) into Cambridge to visit The Handsome Prince, then onto Great Hormead (Baron Brewing) and finally Weston (Crossover Blendery), completing 69km … and for extra effort, Matt and Russell rode the 82km over to Waterbeach

Challenges in the planning stage / about to happen include:

London to Berlin (August/September) - 8 days riding from London down to Folkestone, taking Le Shuttle across to France and then cycling through France, Belgium, The Netherlands and into Germany, finishing at Fuerst Wiacek brewery.

BrewDog by Bike (October) - one day visiting all the BrewDog London venues, by bike (Matt & Russell will be riding Bromptons!)

We will keep updating this as we add events/challenges, but please check out our website www.ridingagainstcancer.co.uk

Please help us to help Macmillan Cancer Support help others.
