Riverside Drama Club started in 1941 and has entertained audiences with plays and pantomimes every year, with the only interruption being the Covid years. Sadly, at the end of 2023 we lost our regular venue due to local council budget cuts, which means that we have to adapt to new arrangements as we move forward. However, we are determined to see this as an opportunity to explore new ideas and ways of working while continuing to please our audiences. One of the changes we have to deal with is the added cost we now have of hiring the staging and other equipment, such as lighting, which was inbuilt in the theatre we used previously. So that we don't find ourselves having to increase ticket prices, we have embarked on a fundraising mission to cover the extra costs.
