Raising money for Saint Michael's Hospice

Yorkshire Three Peaks September 2021 · 18 September 2021 ·

Could you take on the Yorkshire Three Peaks to help us raise the vital funds needed to support local families living with terminal illnesses and bereavement?

Story

10 colleagues from Red Kite Learning Trust are taking on this challenge for St Michaels Hospice

Myself, Catie Bradbury, Richard Sheriff, Steve Howell, Amanda Thornton-Jones, Neil Renton, Tom Stephen, Jake Kempton, Liz Edwards & Tim Milburn.

We are taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks, a 25-mile route in the Yorkshire Dales, including summiting the trio of peaks - Ingleborough, Whernside and Pen-Y-Ghent in 12 hours, for our colleague Nivea who lost her husband Tom this year quite suddenly. Tom died in February after a short illness. He is much missed by his family and friends. He was a very contented man.

Tom spent the last week of his life at St Michael’s hospice and this meant his family could spend precious time with him. St Michael’s Hospice is a truly special place, where Tom received exceptional, attentive care from all the staff. Tom’s family will be eternally grateful.

Lots of charities have been impacted severely from COVID-19 and not being able to fundraise or hold events. Please give generously so they can continue to ease the pain of those with terminal illnesses.
