FINAL UPDATE!
So we've done it - a whopping 1067 miles covered and thanks to you wonderful bunch over £3000 raised for the RNLI.
We can't thank you enough for getting behind us and nursing us through with your words of encouragement and donations.
The RNLI needs this money now more than ever and it will help us continue to provide a world class lifesaving service and keep our people safe.
Thank you and please #respecthewater

Welcome and thank you for visiting our fundraising page. The RNLI Launch and Recovery team are raising money for the RNLI and we'd be really grateful for any support you can give. We've decided to 'virtually' walk, run or cycle from the RNLI HQ in Poole to our manufacturing friends at Clayton Engineering in Wales! Clayton's build lots of our specialist Launch and Recovery vehicles and seemed like the perfect place to visit. It's a casual 171 miles door to door and as a team we will be trying to go there and back (342miles) between the 18th and 25th May! Don't be fooled, we are self confessed desk drivers and haven't been winning any sports days for several years if ever... This will be TOUGH!
Given the current situation you might be wondering how we''ll do it. Don't worry we're not physically setting off down the M4 to Wales but will record how far we travel using either our daily exercise allowance or indoor exercise equipment. Social distancing rules will be followed at all times and sweat bands are strictly prohibited.
At this challenging time in all our lives, the RNLI's volunteer lifeboat crews are still on call 24/7, rescuing people in danger at sea. The coronavirus pandemic has meant that the RNLI's normal Mayday fundraising activities for 2020 have been put on hold, but I'm determined to do my bit from home. Perhaps you could support me by donating the money you've saved on your usual coffee or fuel? Whatever you can donate will be gratefully received and put to good use by the RNLI! Thank you so much :)

It's Day 4 of the 7 day challenge and the team are hurting... We changed our plans and decided to head from RNLI Poole to Clayton Engineering before diverting to the East Coast and then back to RNLI Poole finishing at our boss John Deas house to collect our final bit of sponsorship!
Thank you to everyone who has donated so far - we are so grateful!
Please keep giving and we'll keep going to hit our final distance of 686 miles!
