This year’s challenge is a relatively comfortable 900 mile ride from the Hook of Holland to Vienna. We mainly follow the Rhine and Danube along cycle paths, and we don’t have to get over the Alps at the end!

Friends for Families is a small charity that provides support for children and families facing financial hardship in Sevenoaks and surrounding areas. It offers direct, practical assistance, particularly to children, who have been identified by Children's Services as needing help that cannot be provided elsewhere; such help has included essential food, school uniforms, laptop loans, clothing, beds and bedding. West Kent MIND provides vital mental health and wellbeing support and counselling for young people and adults in the West Kent Area who are struggling to cope or feeling overwhelmed. Although part of the MIND federation, it is an independent charity responsible for raising its own funding, all of which is spent locally. www.westkentmind.org.uk
