Rosie Rocks The World is a Special Named Fund at CCLG: The Children & Young People’s Cancer Association, raising funds for research into Ewing sarcoma

Story

In May 2020, in the middle of the pandemic our world imploded when Rosie, just 17 years old, was diagnosed with metastatic Ewing sarcoma. Even with a quick diagnosis and amazing care from the NHS she tragically died just before turning 18.

Ewing sarcoma is a rare bone cancer that most commonly affects children and young adults. The treatment protocols are out of date and absolutely gruelling with dismal survival rates for metastatic disease.

Since Rosie’s death we set up Rosie Rocks The World with the CCLG in her memory. We want to help fund much needed research into Ewing sarcoma and improve the chances of others who are unlucky enough to be diagnosed with this in future.

We are taking part in the CCLG's Big Hike to help raise much needed money for research. The CCLG's Big Hike is a half marathon hike in the stunning Peak District National Park, a 13.1 mile circular route, starting and ending in Hartington on Saturday 20th September 2025.
