Last year, my brother and I travelled to Sierra Leone to run the Sierra Leone Marathon with Street Child. After fundraising and training for almost a year and collecting sports clothes, we were both so excited to travel to Sierra Leone and see the work Street Child carry out.

The experience was extremely life changing for both of us. We met some amazing people and saw the work that Street Child carry out firsthand.

Whilst Sam completed his first marathon (in 40 degree heat) unfortunately due to illness and the extreme heat, I was unable to finish the full distance. When I came back to London I ran a marathon in honour of all the amazing finishers in Sierra Leone.

When the opportunity came up to run another marathon to support this amazing charity again, we jumped at the chance!

So this year we will both be running the Berlin Marathon for Street Child in September 2025.
