A few years ago Vicky suffered a major trauma that resulted in surgeon's contemplating amputation of her left leg. Through their skill and Vicky's determination, her leg is still in tact and is functional but with limitations.

The months following the surgery were extremely hard for Vicky as psychologically she had to come to terms with her new limitations and Molly (at just 12 years old) became her main carer and absolute rock in terms of motivation and support. Without the support of close friends and family the recovery would have been made even more difficult and both are really glad that there is now a charity to help support people through such challenging times so no-one has to face such trauma alone.
