Raising money for QGS Trust and Royal Signals Charity

Story

Lt Col Si Smith commissioned into the British Army and the Royal Corps of Signals in December 1999. Having now served for over 23 years he is in the privileged position as Commanding Officer 30th Signal Regiment and Commander of the Queen’s Gurkha Signals.

Working throughout his career with service personnel from these two outstanding elements of the British Army he now has the chance to run the London Marathon in support of their charitable organisations. Fortunate to gain a ballot position after 12 years of trying! It is an opportunity to support their superb work for those personnel still serving, our veteran community and their families.

The aim is to raise essential donations for each charity - in equal measure. The links to the Royal Signals Charity and Queen’s Gurkha Signals Trust sites are now completed; the use of this teams page is the best way to split your most welcome donations.

If possible please split your donations equally between both charities that are linked below.

Finally if you pay with PayPal it seems that you will be anonymous. It would be great to know who has supported the cause. If you pay with card or Apple Pay names are appearing.

Many thanks.
