On Saturday 26th June, our fab team (Andi Smith, David Pearson, Steven Lucas, Julie Walker and Katie Skellett) are tackling Heineken's 2021 Race to the Castle: a long distance trek across the length and breadth of Northumberland finishing at Bamburgh Castle on the evening on Sunday 27th June (hopefully by the cut-off time...eek!) https://www.thresholdtrailseries.com/events/race-to-the-castle/

This two-day event isn't for most (in fact, now we've entered, we're not even sure it's for us!)  but it is a perfect opportunity to raise some money for a fantastic charity our team member, Katie, works with - Integrating. www.integrating.org.uk

Integrating support local children and young people with additional needs by hosting activities that promote their independence, confidence and wellbeing. Their activities range from from day trips to bowling alleys, swimming pools and theme parks to week-long supported vacations (prior to the Covid-19 pandemic) and online bingo, cookery, pamper parties, quizzes, discos, yoga and gaming sessions (during lockdown). All of this is vital in helping young people overcome the social isolation often experienced as a result of diagnoses and, more recently, due to lockdowns enforced by Covid-19, by providing safe, carefree social environments with peers. 

By supporting our crazy team trek you're helping Integrating to do what they do so amazingly well - support their young people to learn, grow and develop together. Anything you give will go directly towards the running costs of Integrating's new hybrid programme, mixing greatly missed in person activities and continued online support for young people shielding or unable, as yet, to rejoin activities in person.
